As a South African Driver’s Champion, (1992) and 1994 SA Touring Car Champion, and four-time Production Car Champion (2000–2005), Shaun's deep understanding of performance tuning and race-winning engineering continues to drive the company’s success. Today, Van der Linde Developments remains a powerhouse of innovation, with expertise in camshaft reprofiling, gas-flowed cylinder heads, Magnuson Superchargers and finely tuned engine management systems. The Van der Linde legacy extends beyond engineering into the global motorsport arena. Kelvin and Sheldon van der Linde, Shaun's sons, have both achieved remarkable success on the international motorsport scene. Most notably, on the 2nd of February 2025, the brothers, alongside Brazilian driver Augusto Farfus, clinched victory at the prestigious Bathurst 12 Hour race.
